UJF measures in response to COVID-19 – Council session and other events postponed

The UJF Board has decided on a number of measures aimed at preventing the spread of the COVID-19 in the activities of the union. The Board decided 12 March to put off the spring session of the UJF Council until the autumn. The new date for the session will be given at a later date. Decisions will be made on a case by case basis on whether meetings of the various committees of the UJF will be held as planned or postponed to a later date. Only absolutely essential committee meetings will be held. We will provide information on other possible changes to union activity as the situation develops. Associations will decide for themselves concerning their various events and will inform members about potential rescheduling. Union members are advised to check the information posted by event organisers. We are adhering to the guidelines issued by the authorities and social partners. And we are providing information as necessary on the journalistiliitto.fi website, newsletters, and via our social media channels. We will try to give the new dates of UJF meetings as early as possible, to allow for such things as rebooking travel tickets to proceed smoothly. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our members by these postponements.
