The new e-press card won’t replace regular card

The UJF’s mobile app will be launched at the end of August. The app works on all smart phones and with it you can easily check out union’s news, services, and events. The app also acts as an e-press card. But it will not replace the traditional plastic press card familiar to all union members. In the first phase the app will be in Finnish and Swedish only, the English version will follow at later stage. The UJF’s new app will work on all smart phones, allowing you to access union news, service info, and details of events. The app will also act as an e-press card. But the union is not giving up using the traditional plastic press card. The new e-card will be used alongside the regular card. “We expect that the electronic press card will be widely accepted only after a short transition period”, says the UJF head of services Simon Huldén. The new app will be available for download for all UJF members on 28 August at 14.00. You can’t get the app from any app store as its use if restricted to union members’ personal phone numbers on the union register. The union will send members an SMS with the app download link 24 hours before the launch of the app. Contact us if you have questions about the new app or problems with downloading and using it.
