Linus Atarah This year’s Journalism Day opened with a clarion call on journalists to pay close attention to the looming threat of climate change in their work.
“The verdict’s stance on freedom of expression is extremely important,” said Hanne Aho.
“Many people who go in for hate speech do so by appealing to freedom of expression. But this ruling says unambiguously that such activity has nothing whatsoever to do with freedom of expression.”
